Members get your student Loans here in Mountmellick Credit Union at the lowest rate. Its only 4% with an APR of 4.25%.

List of Conditions:-

1. Both Student and Guarantor must be members of Mountmellick Credit Union.

2. A minimum share holding of €200 euros is required in both accounts.

3. The Guarantor (parent or guardian) must satisfy the Credit Union of their ability to repay the loan.

4. The maximum loan amount is Seven Thousand Euro per year.

5. The minimum repayments in the 1st year= €40 per week or =€80 per fortnight or = €180 per month with repayments rising each year. which will complete payments of the loan over a four year period - the standard length of the course.

6. Loans will not be paid out until Proof of third level place or PLC place is submitted with each loan application.

7. If accommodation is the purpose of the loan, proof of securing such accommodation is necessary, including deposit required etc.,

8. A student will only be allowed one loan account.

9. If for any reason the student does not complete his/her third level course and joins the workforce prematurely, Mountmellick Credit Union reserves the right to revert the loan to a normal loan on the share account having considered the circumstances involved.

10. Second and subsequent loans will only be considered if all the conditions including repayments are adhered to strictly.

11. The account will be in the name of the student with the (parent or guardian) acting as guarantor.

12. The Apr is 4.25%.

The A.G.M. was a very successful night! it was held on Tuesday November 27th 2007 in Macra hall, Patrick Street, Mountmellick.

The approved payment of Dividend agreed on shares of 2.5%.

The approved payment of Interest Rebate of 12.5% of interest paid on loans.

It was agreed to support Third World Development at €0.75c per member.

Each adult member affiliation fee of €2.00 euro for payment of the Irish League of Credit Unions.

All Entry forms have been posted out to your local schools or can be collected if you call into our offices. Closing date is Thursday 25th October 2007.
